End Call
An End Call node closes the conversation and hangs up. It has a prompt like any other node — the agent still composes its final turn — and it can run a last extraction pass before the line drops.
An agent may have several End Call nodes, reached by different edges. That is usually better than one, because the ending is where you record what the call was for.
Several endings, not one
A single “goodbye” node makes every call look identical in the run record. Split by outcome and the record answers questions on its own:
"the appointment is confirmed" → Booked"the caller declined" → Declined"no slot suited them" → Needs callback"the caller asked not to be called" → Do not contactEach is an End Call node with its own closing words and its own extraction. Now “how many calls booked something” is a filter rather than a transcript-reading exercise, and Do not contact can extract a flag your CRM acts on the same day.
Fields
namestringdefault: End Call
Short label describing the ending, not the action — Successful close,
Polite decline, Do not contact. It is what you will filter run records by.
promptstringrequired
The system prompt for the closing exchange. Supports {{template_variables}}.
add_global_promptbooleandefault: false
Prepend the Global node’s prompt. Off by default here, unlike every other prompted node — a closing line rarely needs the full persona, and a global prompt full of objection handling is the last thing you want the model reading as it tries to say goodbye.
extraction_enabledbooleandefault: false
Run an extraction pass before hanging up. This is the last opportunity — once the call ends, nothing more is captured.
extraction_promptstring
Overall guidance for that final extraction.
extraction_variablesobject[]
The values to capture: name, type, and a hint each.
There is no Allow Interruption setting on an End Call node.
Writing the closing prompt
The failure mode is an agent that will not stop. A model given a vague instruction at the end of a call will keep offering help, and the caller has to hang up on it — which is a bad last impression and a minute you are paying for.
Confirm the appointment back to them: the dentist, the day and the time.Thank them and end the call.
Do not offer further help. Do not ask if there is anything else. If they raisesomething new, acknowledge it briefly, tell them to call back, and end.Explicitly forbidding “is there anything else I can help you with?” is worth the line. Models reach for it, and on a voice call it reopens a conversation you had just finished.
